A basic uniform sock shouldn't have to carry a premium price tag to end up on a student's feet.
Sockit-Tumi manufactures school socks to your exact specification and supplies your uniform shop or P&C outlet direct — no supplier commission built into the price, no consignment terms, no contracts. Your stock waits in our Sydney warehouse at no charge; we replenish whenever you call. Since 1997.

What we do for schools
Make it. Hold it. Replenish it.
01
We manufacture to your specification
Colours matched to your uniform, stripe patterns on the welt, your choice of yarn and length, sized from kinder to king size. If your school wears it on its feet, we can make it — and keep making it identically, year after year.
02
We hold your stock at no cost
Your production run sits in our Smithfield warehouse until you need it. No storage fees, no minimum call-offs — the stock is reserved for your school and ready to dispatch.
03
We replenish when you call
A phone call or email to our office and the next batch is on its way to your uniform shop, P&C outlet or nominated supplier — delivered anywhere in Australia. You're invoiced only for the pairs you take, at the original agreed price.
Direct.
Why buy direct
The middleman maths
Exclusive uniform-supply arrangements commonly build a commission back to the school of 5–30% of sales into the retail price — on top of the supplier's own margin. UK government research found exclusive-supplier outlets average 23% dearer than general retail. Buying socks direct from the manufacturer removes those layers: your shop buys at wholesale, sets its own retail, and the margin stays at the school.
Sell at $7–8 a pair: families pay less, and the margin funds your school — not a supplier's commission. Wholesale pricing indicative; quoted per specification.
The range
Every sock a school day asks for
Anklet & turnover-top
The everyday school sock — cotton-rich, reinforced heel and toe, colourfast through a year of washing.
Crew & knee-high
Formal uniform lengths, plain or with knitted contrast stripes to match your colours exactly.
Sport & PE
Cushioned soles and arch support for sports days, carnivals and rep teams — in house colours if you want them.
Tights & hosiery
Winter-weight tights, pantyhose and footlets to complete the girls' uniform list.
Winter yarns
Wool and bamboo blends for cold-climate schools — warmth without the itch, in uniform colours.
Sizes for every year level
From kindergarten through to size 11–14 king size — one supplier across the whole school.
Custom manufacturing
Made to your uniform list, not ours
- Colours matched to your existing uniform
- Stripe patterns and contrast welts
- Cotton-rich, bamboo and wool-blend yarns
- Anklet, crew and knee-high lengths
- Consistent sizing and quality, run after run
Minimums depend on style and colour count — tell us what's on your uniform list and we'll quote the run.
Quality & standards
Made for five days a week
01
Built for a school year
Reinforced heels and toes, quality yarns and tested colourfastness. A school sock gets worn five days a week and washed as often — ours are made for exactly that.
02
Consistent, run after run
The pairs you reorder in three years match the pairs you bought today — same colour, same fit, same construction. Twenty-five years of repeat business is built on it.
03
Trusted beyond the school gate
The same factories and standards supply our work, business and health ranges to workplaces, hospitals and government bodies across Australia.
Getting started
Four steps to your first run
01
Tell us your spec
Colours, lengths, sizes and rough annual quantities — a photo of the current sock is plenty to start with.
02
Sample and quote
We produce a sample for your sign-off and quote the run with a locked price — no contracts, no consignment terms.
03
Production and first delivery
Your run is manufactured and the quantity you need now is dispatched to your uniform shop or P&C outlet.
04
Call off the rest as you need it
The balance waits in our warehouse at no cost. Ring or email and the next batch ships — invoiced at the original price, within 12 months.
How call-off ordering works
Order 500 pairs. Pay for 300. Call off the rest.
A worked example: your school commits to a run of 500 pairs but only needs 300 to start the year. You're invoiced for the 300 delivered — the remaining 200 wait in our warehouse, free of charge, at the price you locked in.
| Stage | Pairs | You pay |
|---|---|---|
| Initial delivery to your uniform shop | 300 | Invoiced at the agreed price |
| Held in our Sydney warehouse | 200 | Nothing — no storage cost |
| Call-off when you're ready | 200 | Invoiced at the original price |
One condition: held stock is taken in full within 12 months of the initial delivery.
